Karim Naoui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tahar Ayari in the 13th minute of play. Chedi Belkhodja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Borhene Chedli struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Hassene Trabelsi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sheerness. 20 minutes into the game, Ryde City's Mourad Bargawi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karim Naoui made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Chedi Belkhodja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sheerness's Karim Naoui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tahar Ayari in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sheerness's zone, Tahar Ayari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karim Naoui came out of the goal and Tahar Ayari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Ryde City booed when Sheerness was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhammad Jelassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tahar Ayari to make the kick off. Ali Essediri hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute Ryde City were awarded a corner. Oussama Rzouga went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Tahar Ayari got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-2. 60 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tahar Ayari in the 67th minute of play forced Sheerness's goalkeeper Karim Naoui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Tahar Ayari got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nejib Mestiri struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Hassene Trabelsi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sheerness. 81 minutes into the match, Ryde City's goal looked a bit too open when Chedi Belkhodja came free, but Hassene Trabelsi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Ali Haggui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ryde City's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Haggui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karim Naoui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hassene Trabelsi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chedi Belkhodja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute of the match Aymen Sassi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karim Naoui skillfully saved the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ryde City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
