After having played for 3 minutes, Khaled Saïdi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Euston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Khaled Saïdi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hedi Jemmali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5 minutes into the game, Borhene Gmamdia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Settle AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Euston the free kick. In the 8thth minute of the game Khaled Saïdi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Settle AFC's Hichem Kasraoui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Settle AFC booed when Euston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amine Dhafer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Euston's goal looked a bit too open when Aymen Younes came free, but Haykel Tlatli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hedi Jemmali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hedi Jemmali recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hichem Kasraoui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khaled Saïdi in the 19th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Khaled Saïdi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hichem Kasraoui was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Hedi Jemmali took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hichem Kasraoui. Hichem Kasraoui dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. David Belkhodja charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Belkhodja the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Settle AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. David Belkhodja hit a great ball. Settle AFC's Hichem Kasraoui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khaled Saïdi in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute of the match Sofiène Ali Bourguiba shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hichem Kasraoui showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Aymen Younes in the 52nd minute of play forced Euston's goalkeeper Haykel Tlatli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Khaled Saïdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Hichem Kasraoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aymen Younes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haykel Tlatli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jamel Souayati , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Settle AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Euston's performance. The match ended with a win for Euston.
