Spectators: 6734 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 0) Timperley United's Abdelwahab Idir started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Timperley United's Habib Khayachi got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The audience was convinced that Salah Belhaj Sellami's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moustapha Tlili was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Moustapha Tlili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salah Belhaj Sellami in the 8th minute of play. Belgacem Saïdi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 12th playminute. In the 17th minute Abdelwahab Idir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salah Belhaj Kadri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moustapha Tlili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salah Belhaj Sellami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belgacem Saïdi might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moustapha Tlili. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belgacem Saïdi ran back to his position shaking his head. If Emir Akid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36thth minute of the game Emir Akid who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Westcliff on Sea United's Salah Belhaj Kadri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With splendid footwork Salah Belhaj Sellami arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-0 by the left pole in the game's 41st minute. Ahmed Jemmali charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmed Jemmali the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Emir Akid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Salah Belhaj Sellami to make the kick off. Moustapha Tlili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belgacem Saïdi in the 53rd minute of the match. Abdelwahab Idir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salah Belhaj Kadri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelwahab Idir, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Belgacem Saïdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salah Belhaj Kadri was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Abdelwahab Idir capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abdelwahab Idir really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. In the 69th minute, Ahmed Jemmali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emir Akid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abdelwahab Idir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salah Belhaj Kadri having to interfere. After 80 minutes, Ali Bourguiba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Westcliff on Sea United and the Timperley United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Westcliff on Sea United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Bourguiba to maneuver through the defense. Emir Akid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belgacem Saïdi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Moustapha Tlili having to make a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Westcliff on Sea United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Timperley United:s goal. Abdeljelil El Ouaer shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Habib Khayachi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salah Belhaj Kadri having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Westcliff on Sea United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Timperley United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
