After having played for 11 minutes, Heithem Chedli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Grinstead's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heithem Chedli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of East Grinstead booed when Brigg United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Majed Sfar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bechir Ziadi hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Muhammad Boulaabi in the 20th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Hamadi Trabelsi's left hand side. Mohamed Karoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Hamadi Trabelsi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adel Hadda during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes Brigg United got a freekick which was hit by Adel Hadda . Karim Ali Riza took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abdelhamid Mkacher. Abdelhamid Mkacher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A collision led to East Grinstead getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Marouane Korbi hit a great ball. Mohamed Karoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamadi Trabelsi having to interfere. Wissem Azzaro's late challenge caught a East Grinstead's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wissem Azzaro helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Brigg United got a freekick which was hit by Wissem Azzaro. Ahmed Baccouche hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Karim Ali Riza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelhamid Mkacher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Ali Riza in the 43rd minute of play. East Grinstead's Karim Ali Riza got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Brigg United's Muhammad Boulaabi got a free kick in the 95th minute. After recieving a nice pass, East Grinstead's Bechir Ziadi tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The East Grinstead players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
