A very good chance. Mehdi Achab recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mohamed Karoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Mourad Boumnijel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mehdi Yahia hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Brigg United's Tahar Yahia in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Tahar Yahia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mourad Boumnijel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mehdi Achab during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the match, Brigg United's goal looked a bit too open when Moncef Amor came free, but Abdelhamid Mkacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Moncef Amor came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Broughton Astley AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moncef Amor couldn't finish the play. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
