Chaker Karoui was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Erith AFC's Abdelkarim Mokthar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khaled Bassir in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, Ilfracombe's Oussama Zouiten got control of the ball when Fakhreddine Boularès tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Walid Falhi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oussama Zouiten was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fakhreddine Boularès to make the kick off. With a little luck, Erith AFC's Abdelkarim Mokthar got control of the ball when Mohamed El Abidine Ben Ali tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Fakhreddine Boularès had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 60 minutes, Khaled Bassir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilfracombe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Khaled Bassir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ali Kallel came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Ilfracombe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Kallel couldn't finish the play. After having played for 65 minutes, Khaled Bassir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilfracombe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Khaled Bassir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Erith AFC's zone, Ali Kallel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelkarim Mokthar came out of the goal and Ali Kallel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oussama Zouiten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fakhreddine Boularès in the 69th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Fakhreddine Boularès's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oussama Zouiten was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 80 minutes into the match, Erith AFC's Fakhreddine Boularès sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oussama Zouiten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Mohamed El Abidine Ben Ali was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ilfracombe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Erith AFC the free kick. A collision led to Ilfracombe getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Oussama Zouiten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fakhreddine Boularès went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Ilfracombe's zone, Fakhreddine Boularès stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oussama Zouiten came out of the goal and Fakhreddine Boularès tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
