The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mohamed Ali Merdassi was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Sedgley AFC defense, Moustafa Abdi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mohamed Majeri. The Sedgley AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mohamed Majeri should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Sedgley AFC's zone, Tarak Ghodhbane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohamed Majeri came out of the goal and Tarak Ghodhbane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sedgley AFC's Mohamed Majeri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laamari Achab in the 80th minute of play. Bechir Zouaoui made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Sabri Sboui sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Barhill's Laamari Achab got a free kick in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Jamel Hedi Jedidi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barhill's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sedgley AFC the free kick.
