Aziz Boumnijel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pierre Essediri went, in the 2nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Aziz Boumnijel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Essediri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Penistone's goal looked a bit too open when Maher Abdallah came free, but Aziz Boumnijel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Driss Chipo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mohamed Azzaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Driss Chipo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Jamel Bassir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute Maher Abdallah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aziz Boumnijel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hamed Ben Dhia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dragon Sport United's Hamed Ben Amor suffered a sore thigh after 33 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hamed Ben Dhia during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dragon Sport United's Mohieddine Mestiri was substituted for Hamed Ben Amor. In the 42nd match minute, Dragon Sport United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre Essediri to maneuver through the defense. If Khaled Essediri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Dragon Sport United were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maher Abdallah to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Dragon Sport United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdallah Naybet to maneuver through the defense. Aziz Boumnijel was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Maher Abdallah capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maher Abdallah really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 64th minute, Dragon Sport United's Pierre Essediri ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aziz Boumnijel. Aziz Boumnijel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. After a rather tough play, Penistone's Hédi Chiba got a free kick in the 67th minute. Maher Abdallah's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Aziz Boumnijel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 70 minutes into the match, Dragon Sport United's goal looked a bit too open when Driss Chipo came free, but Mohamed Azzaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Driss Chipo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Mohamed Azzaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Maher Abdallah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maher Abdallah got free with Aziz Boumnijel in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aziz Boumnijel made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Maher Abdallah sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Penistone's Aziz Boumnijel got control of the ball when Maher Abdallah tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maher Abdallah made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 85thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Aziz Boumnijel would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Aziz Boumnijel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maher Abdallah in the 89th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Hamed Ben Dhia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penistone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamed Ben Dhia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
