Birmingham Selly Oak

Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Shuaibu Sfar made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Birmingham Selly Oak's Belgacem Mkacher got a free kick in the 6th minute. Birmingham Selly Oak's Kaies Essediri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hatem Ben Srarfi in the 8th minute of play. Birmingham Selly Oak's Hocine Makni got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Shuaibu Sfar came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Birmingham Selly Oak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shuaibu Sfar couldn't finish the play. In the 16th match minute, Tunbridge Wells AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hatem Naouali to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Shuaibu Sfar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fethi Ben Aïssa. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. With his leg Fethi Ben Aïssa managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Birmingham Selly Oak's Hocine Makni fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Taieb Souayati kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Fethi Ben Aïssa came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Birmingham Selly Oak's Shuaibu Sfar. But to his dismay, Shuaibu Sfar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Belgacem Mkacher fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Birmingham Selly Oak's protests and gave Belgacem Mkacher a yellow card for diving instead. Hatem Ben Srarfi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Kaies Essediri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Hatem Ben Srarfi notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Birmingham Selly Oak's Kaies Essediri. Kaies Essediri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hassene Zahaf was the one to do the kick off. When Hatem Ben Srarfi came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Tunbridge Wells AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hatem Ben Srarfi couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, Tunbridge Wells AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hocine Makni came free, but Fethi Ben Aïssa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 63 minutes on the clock, Belgacem Mkacher commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 62 minutes into the game, one of Birmingham Selly Oak:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ali Braiek kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hassene Zahaf in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kaies Essediri saved Birmingham Selly Oak from getting behind. Hatem Ben Srarfi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Kaies Essediri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hassene Zahaf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaies Essediri having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Birmingham Selly Oak's Francileudo Saidi got a free kick in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Tunbridge Wells AFC's Taieb Souayati got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute, Hatem Naouali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Birmingham Selly Oak's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ali Braiek in the 96th minute. After taking down the ball on Birmingham Selly Oak's corner Hamdi El Hadrioui fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fethi Ben Aïssa quite easily take care of the ball. Hatem Ben Srarfi struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Kaies Essediri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tunbridge Wells AFC. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tunbridge Wells AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
