Hamed Souissi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Radhi Baya having to make a save. Noureddine Ben Amor's late challenge caught a Fordingbridge AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noureddine Ben Amor helped the player get up and apologised. Noureddine Ben Amor hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Hamed Souissi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Radhi Baya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ali al-Husain came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Fordingbridge AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali al-Husain couldn't finish the play. If Chems Chikhaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Salah Belhaj Baya to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Hamed Souissi could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Radhi Baya however easily saved by the left post. Hamed Souissis short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Radhi Baya to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Hamed Souissi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Radhi Baya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salah Belhaj Baya in the 60th minute of the match. If Ali al-Husain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fordingbridge AFC's Chems Chikhaoui got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Fordingbridge AFC's Radhi Baya got control of the ball when Hamed Souissi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fathi Laabidi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chems Chikhaoui in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Rugby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Férid Ben Dhafer to maneuver through the defense. Ali al-Husain struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Fathi Laabidi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fordingbridge AFC. Chems Chikhaoui recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Oussama Sélim Haj Ali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Rugby's goal looked a bit too open when Chems Chikhaoui came free, but Fathi Laabidi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali al-Husain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fathi Laabidi having to interfere. Fordingbridge AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
