Highbury and Islington's Tarak Essebsi got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Montassar Dermech fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Highbury and Islington's protests and gave Montassar Dermech a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sidmouth AFC booed when Highbury and Islington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Montassar Dermech didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tarak Essebsi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tarak Essebsi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Najeh Karoui came out and tried to block the shot, but Tarak Essebsi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Sidmouth AFC's Rachid Dhafer got a free kick in the 27th minute. Rachid Dhafer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Kais El Bez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Najeh Karoui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarak Essebsi in the 38th minute of the match. Zine BenAmor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Kais El Bez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Highbury and Islington's goal looked a bit too open when Mongi Chikhaoui came free, but Kais El Bez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rachid Dhafer made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mongi Chikhaoui got free with Kais El Bez in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Highbury and Islington's Kais El Bez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachid Dhafer in the 55th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Rachid Dhafer fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A hard shot 61 in the game by Mongi Chikhaoui from a close distance when the talented Kais El Bez managed to make a qualified save. Highbury and Islington's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Rashid Sebki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Highbury and Islington's supporters rose to their feet, but Rashid Sebki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Najeh Karoui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rashid Sebki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Najeh Karoui having to interfere. Highbury and Islington's Kais El Bez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Highbury and Islington from getting a goal against them. Tarak Essebsi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Najeh Karoui having to make a save. Najeh Karoui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rashid Sebki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rashid Sebki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Najeh Karoui having to interfere. The Sidmouth AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sidmouth AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
