Spectators: 6733 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Amine Dhiab got the match started through his kick off. Aymen Sassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anouar Saada in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Heybridge getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Mokhtar Sassi hit a great ball. Horncastle's Radhi Ghodhbane got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th match minute, Horncastle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anouar Saada to maneuver through the defense. Radhi Ghodhbane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Aymen Sassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Heybridge's Ali Massaoud got a free kick in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anouar Saada in the 26th minute of play forced Heybridge's goalkeeper Aymen Sassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Amine Dhiab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amine Dhiab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heybridge's Amine Dhiab got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anouar Saada to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amine Dhiab in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mohamed Ali Souayati prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute Mongi Ali Bourguiba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Ali Souayati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 played minutes Horncastle got a freekick which was hit by Fahed Baly. Amine Dhiab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Mongi Ali Bourguiba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Horncastle's goal looked a bit too open when Amine Dhiab came free, but Mohamed Ali Souayati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Radhi Ghodhbane came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Horncastle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radhi Ghodhbane couldn't finish the play. Heybridge's Aymen Sassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anouar Saada in the 72nd minute of play. Mongi Ali Bourguiba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Mohamed Ali Souayati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fahed Baly kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Radhi Ghodhbane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aymen Sassi having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Hamed Jemmali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hamed Jemmali hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. With his leg Aymen Sassi managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Horncastle's Radhi Ghodhbane fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Radhi Ghodhbane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Aymen Sassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mokhtar Sassi fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heybridge's protests and gave Mokhtar Sassi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute Mongi Ali Bourguiba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Ali Souayati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horncastle's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
