A collision led to Horncastle getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Nejib Agrebi hit a great ball. Caid Yahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Ali Souayati having to interfere. Horncastle's Mohamed Ali Souayati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caid Yahia in the 10th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Etoile Du Sahel's goalkeeper Hamed Bachraoui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radhi Ghodhbane. In the 13th minute, Radhi Ghodhbane reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hamed Bachraoui. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Slim Ben Lamouchi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Etoile Du Sahel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Horncastle's zone, Slim Ben Lamouchi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohamed Ali Souayati came out of the goal and Slim Ben Lamouchi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Caid Yahia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anouar Saada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamed Bachraoui having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mehdi El Bez during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Etoile Du Sahel's Mehdi El Bez got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Horncastle's Sami Chaldun tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Etoile Du Sahel's Hamed Bachraoui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anouar Saada in the 34th minute of play. Radhi Ghodhbane in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hamed Bachraoui, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Etoile Du Sahel's zone, Radhi Ghodhbane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamed Bachraoui came out of the goal and Radhi Ghodhbane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Anouar Saada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes Etoile Du Sahel got a freekick which was hit by Mehdi El Bez. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Anouar Saada made the kick off in the second half. Mohamed Ali Souayati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caid Yahia in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radhi Ghodhbane in the 56th minute of play forced Etoile Du Sahel's goalkeeper Hamed Bachraoui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anouar Saada in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamed Bachraoui saved Etoile Du Sahel from getting behind. Mohamed Salah Slimane hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Mohamed Ali Souayati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caid Yahia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anouar Saada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Hamed Bachraoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamed Bachraoui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anouar Saada in the 71st minute of play. If Radhi Ghodhbane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Youssef was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 77 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Etoile Du Sahel:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Horncastle:s goal. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Horncastle. Sami Chaldun stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hamed Bachraoui. 2-1. After having played for 86 minutes, Radhi Ghodhbane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horncastle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radhi Ghodhbane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horncastle's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
