But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rashid Chouchane couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Said Ben Chouchane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thamesmead's supporters rose to their feet, but Said Ben Chouchane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chokri Mkademi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Rashid Chouchane got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Khaled Dhaouadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chokri Mkademi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khaled Dhaouadi, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Rashid Chouchane struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Belgacem Dhahri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Waltham Cross. The supporters of Waltham Cross booed when Thamesmead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hassen Bnouni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chokri Mkademi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Khaled Dhaouadi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Khaled Dhaouadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chokri Mkademi having to interfere. Belgacem Dhahri made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Hamadi Ouertani sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Said Ben Chouchane stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Said Ben Chouchane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chokri Mkademi was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Waltham Cross's Chokri Mkademi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Said Ben Chouchane in the 57th minute of play. Belgacem Dhahri came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Waltham Cross's Rashid Chouchane. But to his dismay, Rashid Chouchane quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A hard shot 64 in the game by Khaled Dhaouadi from a close distance when the talented Chokri Mkademi managed to make a qualified save. Waltham Cross's players were relieved. After 67 played minutes Waltham Cross got a freekick which was hit by Abderrahman Masmoudi. Hamadi Ouertani hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 75 minutes in the game Hassen Bnouni got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Chokri Mkademi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Said Ben Chouchane in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Waltham Cross booed when Thamesmead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hassen Bnouni didn't get a good kick on the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
