After 17 played minutes Hoddesdon got a freekick which was hit by Chedi Cherni. Freshwater City's Nejib Saidi got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute Chedi Cherni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raouf Kasraoui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdelhamid Baya stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nejib Saidi's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. If Nejib Saidi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelhamid Baya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nejib Saidi in the 28th minute of the match. In the 31stth minute of the game Riadh Kerrit who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Freshwater City's Raouf Kasraoui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute Nejib Saidi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelhamid Baya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Freshwater City booed when Hoddesdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Riadh Soussia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Chedi Cherni recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Raouf Kasraoui. Chedi Cherni showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Riadh Kerrit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Riadh Kerrit to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Freshwater City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zied Zahaf was slow to take the kick. During this time Hoddesdon's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Hoddesdon's Zied Zahaf to fire away a dangerous shot which Raouf Kasraoui despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 59 minutes into the game, Patrick Salem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Freshwater City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hoddesdon the free kick. In the 59th minute, Patrick Salem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nejib Saidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ben Ghigani's late challenge caught a Hoddesdon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ben Ghigani helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, Ben Ghigani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Hoddesdon's goalkeeper Abdelhamid Baya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Borhene Ziadi.
