In the 13th minute, Zoubeir Haggui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th match minute, Triangle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adel Ghariani to maneuver through the defense. Jean El Naili took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oussama Tlatli. Triangle United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ahmed Namouchi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Zine Karel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mourad Mechergui's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oussama Tlatli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Zoubeir Haggui who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Triangle United's Oussama Tlatli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zoubeir Haggui in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oussama Tlatli saved Triangle United from getting behind. Ismail Karoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Zine Karel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mourad Mechergui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zoubeir Haggui to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Triangle United got a freekick which was hit by Mondher Karoui. If Zoubeir Haggui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Ismail Karoui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oussama Tlatli didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Poynton's Zoubeir Haggui shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Poynton's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ismail Karoui 93 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. The Triangle United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
