Torquay FC's Albert Melliti couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hindley. When Férid Ben Mokthar came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Torquay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Férid Ben Mokthar couldn't finish the play. Habib Gasmi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wissem Ben Kalaï having to interfere. In the 24th minute Habib Gasmi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wissem Ben Kalaï saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehdi Ben Essediri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bahi Ghannouchi, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Torquay FC's Habib Ishola got a free kick in the 31st minute. 39 minutes into the match, Torquay FC's Férid Ben Mokthar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wissem Ben Kalaï narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Torquay FC's Férid Ben Mokthar got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Hindley's zone, Férid Ben Mokthar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wissem Ben Kalaï came out of the goal and Férid Ben Mokthar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wissem Ben Kalaï took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Habib Gasmi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Habib Gasmi was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Habib Gasmi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torquay FC's Mehdi Ben Essediri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Torquay FC from getting a goal against them. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Torquay FC's goalkeeper Mehdi Ben Essediri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 57 minutes of play Torquay FC's Kamel Ghodhbane was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Wissem Ben Kalaï took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Férid Ben Mokthar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Selim Mustapha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Ben Essediri having to interfere. Selim Mustapha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mehdi Ben Essediri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bahi Ghannouchi, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Selim Mustapha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Mehdi Ben Essediri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hamza Boumnijel during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 89 played minutes Hindley got a freekick which was hit by Hamza Boumnijel. Férid Ben Mokthar scored 1-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wissem Ben Kalaï, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Torquay FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hindley had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
