Kais Ghigani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shirebrook United's Mohamed Essafi got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rachid Limam got free with Ahmed Agrebi in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rachid Limam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmed Agrebi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Mohamed Essafi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anis Gtari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Exeter FC's Chaker Saada got a free kick in the 26th minute. Kais Ghigani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faouzi Naouali, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. With a little luck, Exeter FC's Ahmed Agrebi got control of the ball when Rachid Limam tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Exeter FC booed when Shirebrook United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helmi Zouaoui didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 minutes, Fraj Baya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Exeter FC and the Shirebrook United players grew even worse after the yellow card.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faouzi Naouali to make the kick off. Mohamed Essafi hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 60th match minute, Exeter FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamdi Benzekri to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Shirebrook United's Dhaker Ben Yahia tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ahmed Agrebi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Essafi, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Kais Ghigani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faouzi Naouali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Exeter FC's Ahmed Agrebi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachid Limam in the 85th minute of play. Rachid Limam struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ahmed Agrebi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shirebrook United. If Rachid Limam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 92 minutes, Anis Gtari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Exeter FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anis Gtari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Exeter FC's Faouzi Naouali ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kais Ghigani. Kais Ghigani yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Shirebrook United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Exeter FC for a fine match.
