After 26 played minutes Thamesmead got a freekick which was hit by Anis Jouili. Bernard Chiba might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rashid Limam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernard Chiba ran back to his position shaking his head. Walid Chedli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rashid Limam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Majdi Mestiri, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Hadj Salem Diwa made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Sami Yahyaoui sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Newcastle-under-Lyme City booed when Thamesmead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamza Jawachi didn't get a good kick on the ball.
