Adel Mnari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31stth minute of the game Wissem Ben Laabidi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Openshaw's Anis Cherif was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anis Cherif made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hamza Bouazizi in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Zied Lahmar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salah Cherni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. David Majeri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wissem Ben Laabidi made a kick off. Everton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamza Bouazizi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
