Spectators: 7762 (Terracing: 5823, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 154) After a rather tough play, Olimpo FC's Shane Revie got a free kick in the 5th minute. Alexander Alexander struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Bruce Massey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunoon City. After 9 played minutes Olimpo FC got a freekick which was hit by Jamie McLaren. After 10 played minutes, Dunoon City's Alisdair Gold shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bruce Massey came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dunoon City reached it. 12 minutes into the match, Olimpo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Willie McKiggan came free, but Bruce Massey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Willie McKiggan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunoon City's supporters rose to their feet, but Willie McKiggan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruce Massey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Willie McKiggan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruce Massey having to interfere. Euan McBeth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Eric McGrath made a huge save. Euan McBeth in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eric McGrath, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Willie McKiggan scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruce Massey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 28 minutes, Euan McBeth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olimpo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Euan McBeth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruce Massey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Alexander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gus Abbotson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Gus Abbotson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric McGrath saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dunoon City's goalkeeper Eric McGrath, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gus Abbotson was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute Willie McKiggan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruce Massey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Willie McKiggan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Bruce Massey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric McGrath made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Abbotson in the 68th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Bruce Massey successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gus Abbotson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 85 minutes of play, Olimpo FC's Gus Abbotson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eric McGrath was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gus Abbotson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gus Abbotson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
