Brian Clarke hit a great ball. Wayne Addison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Wayne Addison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paisley's Rod McDavid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Paisley from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Sam McCodrum managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paisley's supporters rose to their feet, but Sam McCodrum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric McGrath breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eric McGrath took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wayne Addison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, Dunoon City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wayne Morris to maneuver through the defense. Eric McGrath took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sam McCodrum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Ben McLehose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dunoon City! 37 minutes into the game, Walter Baptist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eric McGrath was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eric McGrath took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wayne Addison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wayne Addison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Eric McGrath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Willie McKiggan was the one to do the kick off. Rod McDavid came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Dunoon City's Willie McKiggan. But to his dismay, Willie McKiggan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Eric McGrath showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wayne Addison, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Rod McDavid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Alexander in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Dunoon City getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Connor McNider hit a great ball. Wayne Addison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Connor McNider fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunoon City's protests and gave Connor McNider a yellow card for diving instead. Connor McNider kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Wayne Addison did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Eric McGrath 84 minutes into the match. Paisley played a much better game than Dunoon City and deserved their victory. The Dunoon City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
