Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) Larbert FC's Robbie Forester started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ballygrant City's Mark Masterson got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robbie Forester in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Les McConnechy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mark Masterson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Kilgour having to interfere. Les McConnechy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miles Abbotson, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Ballygrant City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sid Douglas to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Ballygrant City's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Forester came free, but Les McConnechy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26thth minute of the game Nicholas Meine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Larbert FC's Guy Kilgour was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbie Forester in the 28th minute of play forced Ballygrant City's goalkeeper Les McConnechy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Les McConnechy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miles Abbotson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Nicholas Meine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charlie Morren kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. When Euan Knox fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballygrant City's protests and gave Euan Knox a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Euan Knox hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robbie Forester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Les McConnechy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Les McConnechy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbie Forester, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mark Masterson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 50thth minute tested the skills of Guy Kilgour when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Les McConnechy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbie Forester in the 57th minute of play. Les McConnechy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbie Forester, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nicholas Meine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robbie Forester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Larbert FC's Miles Abbotson got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Les McConnechy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robbie Forester's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Les McConnechy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miles Abbotson in the 71st minute. Mark Masterson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicholas Meine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guy Kilgour having to make a save. Phil Meikleham hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Robbie Forester struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Les McConnechy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Larbert FC. In the 94th match minute, Ballygrant City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Euan Knox to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
