After a defensive mix-up in Larbert FC's zone, Robert Scott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guy Kilgour came out of the goal and Robert Scott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Robbie Forester's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthew Alexander was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robbie Forester to make the kick off. 51 minutes in the game, Miles Abbotson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Matthew Alexander having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robbie Forester couldn't finish the play. Miles Abbotson came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Matthew Alexander could save by the left post. 79 minutes into the match, Larbert FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alistair McGrowther came free, but Guy Kilgour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Miles Abbotson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Robbie Forester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Alexander having to interfere. Miles Abbotson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
