After 14 played minutes Portree got a freekick which was hit by Michael McHugh. The supporters of Portree booed when Kilmacolm FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Jameson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kilmacolm FC's Vincent Sorely played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben Baird in the 23rd minute of play. Marcus McCuish hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Kilmacolm FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ben Baird fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 33rd match minute, Kilmacolm FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Jameson to maneuver through the defense. Ben Baird recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Robin Jameson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kilmacolm FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portree the free kick. The supporters of Portree booed when Kilmacolm FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Jameson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ben Baird stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that James McArthur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vincent Sorely was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcus McCuish during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcus McCuish kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Vincent Sorely took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Baird, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ben Baird sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If James McArthur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vincent Sorely made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Baird in the 69th minute of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Ben Baird managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portree's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ben Baird was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Marcus McCuish hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When James McArthur, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 76 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Vincent Sorely was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel McHugh in the 83rd minute of play forced Portree's goalkeeper Taylor McKindlay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel McHugh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Portree's Ben Baird in 88 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Vincent Sorely guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. James McArthur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Sorely having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Portree got a freekick which was hit by Michael McHugh. Jonathan McKellachie's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Taylor McKindlay skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Portree were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kilmacolm FC for a fine match.
