Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Banchory's Jacob Noble in the 76th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Robin Alderson was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Garve AFC through an amazing save. But to his dismay, Darius Spence quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Robin Alderson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stephen Davenport in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Garve AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Banchory had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
