Spectators: 7723 (Terracing: 5793, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gregor Combie started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Bob Dinwoodie put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Munro Arbuckle. MACKINTOSH ARMY FC's Munro Arbuckle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregor Combie in the 6th minute of play. Bob Dinwoodie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Gregor Combie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Munro Arbuckle was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 0-3 became the score in the 15th minute when Bob Dinwoodie elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Munro Arbuckle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregor Combie in the 17th minute of play. Munro Arbuckle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob Dinwoodie, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Angus Arbuckle kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Livingston's Aiden Dinwoodie tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Munro Arbuckle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregor Combie, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 33 minutes into the match, MACKINTOSH ARMY FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gregor Combie came free, but Munro Arbuckle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Graham McIock kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Gregor Combie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dean Neal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 64 minutes into the match, MACKINTOSH ARMY FC's goalkeeper Munro Arbuckle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bob Dinwoodie. Munro Arbuckle made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Bob Dinwoodie sent off a good shot on target. MACKINTOSH ARMY FC's Munro Arbuckle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save MACKINTOSH ARMY FC from getting a goal against them. Munro Arbuckle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bob Dinwoodie in the 76th minute. In the last second Munro Arbuckle throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gregor Combie in the 80thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Davie France showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom McCook in the 86th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gregor Combie in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Munro Arbuckle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 92 minutes into the match, MACKINTOSH ARMY FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gregor Combie came free, but Munro Arbuckle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bob Dinwoodie came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Livingston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bob Dinwoodie couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind MACKINTOSH ARMY FC's goalkeeper Munro Arbuckle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Livingston's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
