After having played for 36 minutes, Vincent Lyall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fochabers City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vincent Lyall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matt Aitken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dean Neal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Munro Arbuckle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Lyall in the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dean Neal to strike the kick off in the second half. Munro Arbuckle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matt Aitken in the 70th minute of the match. Matt Aitken took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Munro Arbuckle. Munro Arbuckle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Stevie Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dean Neal in the 76th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dean Neal in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stevie Williamson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dean Neal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Stevie Williamson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the game, Gary McCrie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fochabers City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MACKINTOSH ARMY FC the free kick. In the 89th match minute, Fochabers City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gary McCrie to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute of the match MACKINTOSH ARMY FC got a corner. Fochabers City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angus Arbuckle ran over to the corner to take the kick. Paddy Donachie made a great header on MACKINTOSH ARMY FC's corner, it was just that Fochabers City's Stevie Williamson managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Vincent Lyall's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Munro Arbuckle was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
