Spectators: 6778 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Douglas Forest took the kick off in the first half of the match. Harry Dempster's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Michael McGill skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Harry Dempster blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michael McGill having to make a save. Ciaran McRobb blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michael McGill having to make a save. In the 43rd minute, Steve Campbell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Kirkliston AFC's Adrian McGlashan tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciaran McRobb to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Kirkliston AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Dempster came free, but Michael McGill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Harry Dempster managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lasswade's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Dempster was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael McGill breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michael McGill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciaran McRobb in the 55th minute of the match. Jack Binnie kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Douglas Forest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rod McAndeoir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Greg Bunten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gareth Carlyle kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Kirkliston AFC's Adrian McGlashan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lasswade. 79 minutes into the game, Rod McAndeoir cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Greg Bunten was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rod McAndeoir got free with Greg Bunten in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Harry Dempster might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michael McGill. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harry Dempster ran back to his position shaking his head. Douglas Forest took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Greg Bunten. Greg Bunten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.
