Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Samuel Davenport took the kick off in the first half of the match. The Lanark AFC fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Lanark AFC's Evan Sharp looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 8 minutes into the match, Lochwinnoch United's Samuel Davenport sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arthur McAdie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Samuel Davenport fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur McAdie having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Arthur McAdie successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jamie McDermid hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Ross in the 21st minute of play forced Lochwinnoch United's goalkeeper Guy McKinlay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guy McKinlay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evan Sharp's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Arthur McAdie came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Lochwinnoch United's Samuel Davenport. But to his dismay, Samuel Davenport quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Samuel Davenport recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Lanark AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jamie McDermid to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Keith McCaishe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jamie McDermid struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Guy McKinlay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanark AFC. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evan Sharp to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Evan Sharp kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guy McKinlay. That made the score 1-2 in the 51 minute of play. In the 58th minute, Keith McCaishe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 64 minutes into the game, Evan Sharp recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guy McKinlay. Evan Sharp showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. After having played for 69 minutes, Keith McCaishe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lochwinnoch United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keith McCaishe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arthur McAdie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Davenport, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bob Cameron kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Alexander Ross could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Guy McKinlay made a huge save. Lochwinnoch United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Evan Sharp scored to the left of an out of position Guy McKinlay, making the score, 1-4. After a rather tough play, Lanark AFC's Freddie McRurie got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 94 minutes, Jim McBurie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lochwinnoch United and the Lanark AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, Jim McBurie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
