They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexander McPetrie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laurencekirk's supporters rose to their feet, but Alistair Stewart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nathan McLarty breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 87 played minutes Kinbrace AFC got a freekick which was hit by Billy Kerracher. Kinbrace AFC's Nathan McLarty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alistair Stewart in the 90th minute of play. Alexander McPetrie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrew Connell having to interfere. Kinbrace AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
