Patrick Wright took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Duilach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ter McLise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Wright having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Jason McPetrie made a precise shot to the right of Patrick Wright. Castle Rock Blue Knights's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joshua Duilach got free with Patrick Wright in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joshua Duilach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Wright having to interfere. Grant McCanish received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Bruce McWhirr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Joshua Duilach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Nicholas Weaver managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castle Rock Blue Knights's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicholas Weaver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Adrian McKissock came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Halkirk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian McKissock couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Halkirk could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Castle Rock Blue Knights throughout the match.
