Greg Harper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Duthie in the 35th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mike Beresford made a kick off. Kenneth McRuer came out of the goal and Samuel McNeish tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Charlie Evans fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cumnock FC's protests and gave Charlie Evans a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cumnock FC's Charlie Evans got a free kick in the 77th minute. Greg Harper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Duthie in the 87th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Cumnock FC's Craig Corrie slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Greg Harper. That made the score 1-2 after 91 minutes of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cumnock FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
