Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Norman McLaverty kicked off to start the match. If Neil White had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doune's Norman McLaverty got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Doune booed when Bruichladdich United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ray Gowrie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Ronald Appleby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doune's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Appleby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Doune's Norman McLaverty dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. John Gardiner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Wilkie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Ronald Appleby left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Doune fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 28 played minutes Bruichladdich United got a freekick which was hit by Jack Spittal. Grant Fletcher took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Drew Paterson. Bruichladdich United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Ronald Appleby recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Drew Paterson. Ronald Appleby showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Norman McLaverty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doune's supporters rose to their feet, but Norman McLaverty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Drew Paterson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benjamin Lamont in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Drew Paterson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 minutes, Munro McDonachie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bruichladdich United and the Doune players grew even worse after the yellow card. Norman McLaverty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Doune booed when Bruichladdich United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Munro McDonachie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 minutes Bruichladdich United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Grant Fletcher who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Grant Fletcher got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Drew Paterson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Doune's Benjamin Lamont suffered a sore thigh after 72 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 72nd minute, Neil White hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 played minutes, Doune's Grant Fletcher shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Drew Paterson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Doune reached it. Larry Casey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Bruichladdich United's Ray Gowrie got a free kick in the 78th minute. After some careless play in the Bruichladdich United defense, Ronald Appleby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Drew Paterson. The Bruichladdich United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Drew Paterson should have stopped the shot. Ronald Appleby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drew Paterson having to interfere. Drew Paterson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronald Appleby went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Bruichladdich United's Drew Paterson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Appleby in the 92nd minute of play. If Ronald Appleby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 played minutes Bruichladdich United got a freekick which was hit by Brandon Ewing. After a defensive mix-up in Bruichladdich United's zone, Norman McLaverty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drew Paterson came out of the goal and Norman McLaverty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Doune fully deserved thier win.
