Seating: 1802, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Miles McGhee managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scotland's supporters rose to their feet, but Miles McGhee was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christopher McClymont breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jordan Bean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timmy McLachlan in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Timmy McLachlan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jordan Bean, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barry Meine in the 10th minute of play forced Burntisland's goalkeeper Christopher McClymont to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Scotland getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Edward Paton hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miles Carruthers in the 21st minute of play forced Burntisland's goalkeeper Christopher McClymont to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Park during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Scotland's zone, Patrick McRobb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jordan Bean came out of the goal and Patrick McRobb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Timmy McLachlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barry Burdon kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Barry Meine struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Christopher McClymont didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scotland. In the 39th minute Miles McGhee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher McClymont saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Scotland:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Burntisland:s goal. Theo McThomas placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Christopher McClymont was a little too slow when Barry Meine got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-1. Miles Carruthers hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Barry Meine who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Christopher McClymont when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Miles McGhee got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Burntisland's zone, Barry Meine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher McClymont came out of the goal and Barry Meine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Patrick McRobb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Miles McGhee's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christopher McClymont was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Timmy McLachlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burntisland's supporters rose to their feet, but Timmy McLachlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jordan Bean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timmy McLachlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Burntisland's Christopher McClymont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miles McGhee in the 83rd minute of play. Alexander Edgar charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Edgar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Burntisland getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alexander Edgar hit a great ball. If Barry Meine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barry Meine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher McClymont having to interfere. When the match was over Scotland could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Burntisland throughout the match.
