Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lloyd Harper started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Fraser McLeverty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 4 played minutes, Plockton's Tommy Sorely shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Donald Lammond came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Plockton reached it. With his leg Jake McWalter managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Macduff's Brian McFeat fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Keith McAslan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brian McFeats short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Jake McWalter to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plockton's goalkeeper Jake McWalter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute of the match, Brian McFeat got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jake McWalter was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 31st minute, Keith McAslan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Greg McKeggie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Donald Lammond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jake McWalter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lloyd Harper in the 42nd minute of the match. Brian McFeat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jake McWalter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Greg McKeggie came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Plockton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Greg McKeggie couldn't finish the play. Donald Lammond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greg McKeggie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Greg McKeggie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lloyd Harper in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jake McWalter saved Plockton from getting behind. Derek Monach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keith McAslan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Donald Lammond skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Macduff's Brian McFeat got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian McFeat in the 67th minute of play forced Plockton's goalkeeper Jake McWalter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Lloyd Harper cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jake McWalter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Greg McKeggie came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Plockton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Greg McKeggie couldn't finish the play. Keith McAslan struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Donald Lammond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plockton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg McKeggie in the 82nd minute of play forced Macduff's goalkeeper Donald Lammond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donald Lammond came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Plockton's Keith McAslan. But to his dismay, Keith McAslan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When Plockton's Greg McKeggie in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Macduff's goalie prevented a goal. 89 minutes into the game, Lloyd Harper cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jake McWalter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Keith McAslan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Plockton's supporters rose to their feet, but Keith McAslan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donald Lammond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Macduff's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
