The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes Livingston got a freekick which was hit by Timothy McLewis. Theo Limont showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothy McLewis, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Frankie McLulich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicky Dewar kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Endre Gelencsér recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Derek Wallis. Endre Gelencsér showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Derek Wallis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Endre Gelencsér in the 33rd minute. In the 38th minute, Endre Gelencsér ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Derek Wallis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Endre Gelencsér had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Endre Gelencsér stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Derek Wallis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Endre Gelencsér, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Theo Limont took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timothy McLewis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55th play minutes Endre Gelencsér shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Derek Wallis and just under the crossbar into goal. ELGIN's Wayne McRobb got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Timothy McLewis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Theo Limont tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derek Wallis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Endre Gelencsér's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After 68 minutes, Endre Gelencsér made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Livingston's Derek Wallis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Endre Gelencsér, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 73 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Derek Wallis was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Alvaro Ladio hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Livingston's Joshua McKinley got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Joshua Lauchlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute Reece Neish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derek Wallis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Endre Gelencsér sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wayne McRobb took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Derek Wallis. Derek Wallis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. 91 minutes into the match, Livingston's goal looked a bit too open when Endre Gelencsér came free, but Derek Wallis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Derek Wallis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Endre Gelencsér's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ELGIN fully deserved thier win.
