Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ray McKelloch started the match with the kick off. Alistair Mennie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terence McLugash in the 5th minute of play. Owen McMurchie hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 6 minutes in the game, Phillip Rome dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Terence McLugash received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Alistair Mennie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alistair Mennie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phillip Rome, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Biggar's goal looked a bit too open when Ray McKelloch came free, but Munro Yuille reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Edinburgh Steelers FC's Munro Yuille threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ray McKelloch, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Larry Greusach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alistair Mennie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phillip Rome in the 28th minute of the match. Edinburgh Steelers FC's Alistair Mennie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terence McLugash in the 67th minute of play. After 80 played minutes Edinburgh Steelers FC got a freekick which was hit by Owen McMurchie. In the 86th minute, Phillip Rome left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Biggar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Phillip Rome got free with Alistair Mennie in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Phillip Rome received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Alistair Mennie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Edinburgh Steelers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Terence McLugash came free, but Alistair Mennie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Edinburgh Steelers FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Biggar were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
