Larry French showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom McCutchen in the 21st minute of the match. Larry French stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris McGilp's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. When Chris McGilp came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Forfar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris McGilp couldn't finish the play. Larry French stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom McCutchen's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Forfar's Tom McCutchen got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John McJames showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ewan McCeallaich in the 41st minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Tom McCutchen struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Larry French didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forfar. If Billy McCansh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ewan McCeallaich struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ewan McCeallaich in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John McJames prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chris McGilp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ewan McCeallaich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John McJames having to interfere. Chants of Forfar echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Bonnybridge United had held the ball for most of the match.
