Les McBurie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Tawse in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Bristol Brigde House's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent McNeilage came free, but Les McBurie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vincent McNeilage sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Tawse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Les McBurie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robert Tawse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Les McBurie having to interfere. When Robert Tawse came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Darvel City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Tawse couldn't finish the play. Les McBurie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent McNeilage, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When Darvel City's Vincent McNeilage in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Joshua Carruthers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bruce Bell was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 48 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robert Tawse was the one to do the kick off. Larry Docharty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Carruthers in the 59th minute of the match. If Robert Tawse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Larry Docharty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Shannon, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Joshua Carruthers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Robert Tawse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Joshua Carruthers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Larry Docharty. Darvel City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joshua Carruthers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 74 minutes, Stevie McDavid mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bristol Brigde House and the Darvel City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bristol Brigde House's Stevie McDavid got a free kick in the 74th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Bristol Brigde House's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Tawse came free, but Les McBurie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Larry Docharty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Shannon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darvel City's Larry Docharty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Carruthers in the 89th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Darvel City's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Carruthers came free, but Larry Docharty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joshua Carruthers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Darvel City's zone, Stevie McDavid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Larry Docharty came out of the goal and Stevie McDavid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
