In the 3rd match minute, Bristol Brigde House was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ray Hughes to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Bristol Brigde House's zone, John McMurray stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Les McBurie came out of the goal and John McMurray tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute Mike Bone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinny McCook saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Les McBurie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyler McAchounich, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Joshua Carruthers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute Kevin Shannon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinny McCook saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John McMurray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Les McBurie having to interfere. Harry McLean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Les McBurie having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mike Bone in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinny McCook saved Cairndow AFC from getting behind. John McMurray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vinny McCook took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Shannon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John McMurray to strike the kick off in the second half. Harry McLean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tyler McAchounich's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Les McBurie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tyler McAchounich's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Les McBurie was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After having played for 65 minutes, Tyler McAchounich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cairndow AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyler McAchounich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Kevin Shannon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vinny McCook. Kevin Shannon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Tyler McAchounich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cairndow AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tyler McAchounich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Les McBurie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. John McMurray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cairndow AFC's John McMurray got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Bristol Brigde House getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Angus Spittel hit a great ball. Bristol Brigde House's Les McBurie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry McLean in the 96th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
