After having played for 53 minutes, Drew McLagan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heriot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Drew McLagan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Heriot's goal looked a bit too open when Declan Barnfather came free, but Elliot McMurdoch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Derek McCruithein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Timmy McMaster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Derek McCruithein's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timmy McMaster was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Graeme Meine might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elliot McMurdoch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Graeme Meine ran back to his position shaking his head. After 69 played minutes Heriot got a freekick which was hit by Taylor Clark. After 70 played minutes, Harris United's Ron Huntly shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elliot McMurdoch came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Harris United reached it. In the 71st minute of the match Harris United got a corner. Heriot's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ron Huntly ran over to the corner to take the kick. Harris United's Ron Huntly was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Elliot McMurdoch in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Elliot McMurdoch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas McKinnell in the 75th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Derek McCruithein cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Timmy McMaster was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Heriot booed when Harris United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Barnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Heriot's Dylan Ronald got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Harris United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
