Tim Lair could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Matt McDavid made a huge save. After 7 played minutes Kyle got a freekick which was hit by Ross McRach. Angus McGilvray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Glasgow Hornet Killers's Eric McKindlay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phillip Will in the 13th minute of play. Glasgow Hornet Killers's Angus McGilvray got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eric McKindlay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Archibald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Phillip Will got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank McElheran hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Kyle's Barry Archibald in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Glasgow Hornet Killers's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Kyle's Wally McIock got a free kick in the 27th minute. Tim Lair's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Matt McDavid skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Barry Archibald, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 33 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Eric McKindlay was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Angus McGilvray's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matt McDavid read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Tim Lair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Matt McDavid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric McKindlay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phillip Will in the 46th minute of play. Phillip Will received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Eric McKindlay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angus McGilvray to strike the kick off in the second half. Eric McKindlay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barry Archibald in the 53rd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Tim Lair cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Matt McDavid was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barry Archibald in the 61st minute of play forced Glasgow Hornet Killers's goalkeeper Eric McKindlay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Barry Archibald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Glasgow Hornet Killers's Tim Lair nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matt McDavid made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Eric McKindlay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barry Archibald's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Phillip Will struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Eric McKindlay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kyle. With a little luck, Glasgow Hornet Killers's Eric McKindlay got control of the ball when Phillip Will tried to sneak it across the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Oliver McUlric was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glasgow Hornet Killers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kyle the free kick. A collision led to Glasgow Hornet Killers getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Oliver McUlric hit a great ball. Kyle's Matt McDavid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angus McGilvray in the 90th minute of play. Matt McDavid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taylor McKissock in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Tim Lair got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Glasgow Hornet Killers had won after a very even match.
