Davie Carson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Sinclair in the 15th minute of the match. Donald McLeverty kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Paddy Lemond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. James Sinclair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wal Dyce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. John Arrol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wal Dyce in the 63rd minute of play. Roddie Muir took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for John Arrol. Hawick AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wal Dyce blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without John Arrol having to make a save. 74 minutes into the match, Paddy Lemond dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Davie Carson, 0-2. John Arrol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wal Dyce in the 82nd minute of the match. Hawick AFC's John Arrol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wal Dyce in the 92nd minute of play. Wal Dyce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Arrol having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hawick AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
