Spectators: 6791 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1791, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Arthur McMath made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciaran McPhater in the 3rd minute of play forced Cumnock's goalkeeper Willie Storie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arthur McMath's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugh McErracher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Raymond Munro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cumnock's supporters rose to their feet, but Raymond Munro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugh McErracher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hugh McErracher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur McMath in the 9th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Cumnock got a freekick which was hit by Vinny McHardie. The supporters of Lochailort booed when Cumnock was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan McMaster didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ciaran McPhater had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes Cumnock got a freekick which was hit by Alisdair Dunlop. 34 minutes into the match, Lochailort's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur McMath came free, but Hugh McErracher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lochailort's Hugh McErracher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur McMath in the 40th minute of play. Raymond Munro's late challenge caught a Lochailort's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raymond Munro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cumnock getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Raymond Munro hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Lochailort's Ciaran McPhater slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Willie Storie. That made the score 1-0 after 43 minutes of play. Guy Scott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciaran McPhater to make the kick off. Ciaran McPhater fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willie Storie having to interfere. When Lochailort's Guy Scott in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cumnock's goalie prevented a goal. If Ciaran McPhater had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Willie Storie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciaran McPhater, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Arthur McMath was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Cumnock's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arthur McMath in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugh McErracher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th match minute, Lochailort was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phil Skinner to maneuver through the defense. In the 78thth minute of the game Arthur McMath who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lochailort's Hugh McErracher was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Guy Scott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willie Storie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciaran McPhater, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 84 played minutes Lochailort got a freekick which was hit by Phil Skinner. Hugh McErracher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur McMath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raymond Munro got free with Hugh McErracher in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Cumnock's Ben Lennie got a free kick in the 95th minute. Wally Stewart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Willie Storie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wally Stewart in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cumnock players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lochailort.
