Spectators: 6790 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1790, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lee McRitchie got the match started through his kick off. Charlie Edwards recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 4th minute, Steve Colyear made a precise shot to the right of Sam Fee. Strathcarron City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Edwards in the 12th minute of play forced Strathcarron City's goalkeeper Sam Fee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Bellshill United getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Lewis Dallas hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rory Train during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sam Fee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steve Colyear in the 21st minute of play. Bellshill United's Matt McAlonie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee McRitchie in the 25th minute of play. Matt McAlonie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Scott Bryde in the 30th minute. Charlie Edwards fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Fee having to interfere. Scott Bryde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Steve Colyear stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Scott Bryde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strathcarron City's supporters rose to their feet, but Scott Bryde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matt McAlonie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Bellshill United's Conor McLulich got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Matt McAlonie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scott Bryde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bellshill United's Matt McAlonie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scott Bryde in the 63rd minute of play. If Scott Bryde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Rory Train hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Steve Colyear recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bellshill United's Matt McAlonie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee McRitchie in the 78th minute of play. If Steve Colyear had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 84 minutes, Charlie Edwards managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bellshill United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charlie Edwards was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sam Fee acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 90th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Conor McLulich. In the last second Sam Fee throw himself and got hold of the ball when Steve Colyear in the 91stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 95 minutes into the match, Charlie Edwards had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sam Fee. Strathcarron City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charlie Edwards was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bellshill United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
