Kyle Agnew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavin Lennie, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 12th match minute, Arrochar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ter Stark to maneuver through the defense. Kyle Agnew was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Matt McRory. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Fish in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Denoon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 20 played minutes Arrochar got a freekick which was hit by Ter Stark. FC Barcelona's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Matt McRory in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Murchison came free, but Richard Denoon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William O'Shannaig charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William O'Shannaig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Barcelona booed when Arrochar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. William O'Shannaig didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ter Stark during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

Mike Connor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Agnew having to interfere. If Mike Murchison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ter Stark recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute Patrick Fish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Denoon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
