Thanks to some nice moves Calum McCuish could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Harry Wharrie however easily saved by the left post. In the 8th minute Brian Neil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Wharrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brian Neil struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Harry Wharrie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beauly AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Neil in the 15th minute of play forced Halkirk AFC's goalkeeper Harry Wharrie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Halkirk AFC's goalkeeper Harry Wharrie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Calum McCuish. 22 minutes into the match, Beauly AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Duncan Richardson came free, but Arthur Barry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Halkirk AFC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Brian Neil made the kick off in the second half. Arthur Barry made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Lucas Young sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Duncan Richardson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Halkirk AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Duncan Richardson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arthur Barry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Neil in the 61st minute of play forced Halkirk AFC's goalkeeper Harry Wharrie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Duncan Richardson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Neil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harry Wharrie having to make a save. Arthur Barry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Duncan Richardson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brian Neil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the game, Beauly AFC's Calum McCuish nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harry Wharrie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The Halkirk AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
