Spectators: 6787 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nigel Coutts kicked off to start the match. Carnoustie City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Patrick Fish scored to the left of an out of position Jamie Lammond, making the score, 1-0. Patrick Fish blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jamie Lammond having to make a save. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carnoustie City's goalkeeper Jamie Lammond, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 15 minutes, Ronan Haddon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carnoustie City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronan Haddon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronan Haddon struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Kyle Agnew didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carnoustie City. After having played for 21 minutes, Mike Murchison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrochar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mike Murchison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Patrick Fish managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arrochar's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Fish was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jamie Lammond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Carnoustie City's Nigel Coutts got a free kick in the 31st minute. Mike Murchison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mike Murchison's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Jamie Lammond skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 40th minute of the match Davie McCraken sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kyle Agnew skillfully saved the ball. Mike Murchison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Carnoustie City getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Davie McCraken hit a great ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Patrick Fish managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrochar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Fish was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrick Fish made a kick off. The corner led Arrochar's Eric Day to fire away a dangerous shot which Jamie Lammond despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 57th match minute, Carnoustie City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Luke to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Fish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nigel Coutts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Agnew having to interfere. Patrick Fish received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jamie Lammond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mike Murchison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carnoustie City's Nigel Coutts got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carnoustie City's Ronan Haddon got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 85 in the game by Ronan Haddon from a close distance when the talented Kyle Agnew managed to make a qualified save. Arrochar's players were relieved. After 85 played minutes Arrochar got a freekick which was hit by Ter Stark. If Patrick Fish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The supporters of Arrochar booed when Carnoustie City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jay Moodie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrick Fish recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Carnoustie City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Arrochar.
