Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when George McCaskill took the kick off in the first half of the match. Martin Cruickshanks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darius McLucas having to interfere. The supporters of Aviemore FC booed when Wick was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Will Guthrie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, George McCaskill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aviemore FC's supporters rose to their feet, but George McCaskill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harold McIldowie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wick's Harold McIldowie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Watt in the 20th minute of play. Lee McGilchrist took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Darius McLucas. Darius McLucas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Lee McGilchrist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George McCaskill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harold McIldowie having to interfere. Alan Watt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harold McIldowie having to interfere. Harold McIldowie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George McCaskill, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Cruickshanks to strike the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Nicky Boon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stevie McKellachie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darius McLucas having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lee McGilchrist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Darius McLucas was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Martin Cruickshanks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harold McIldowie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Watt in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lee McGilchrist in the 82nd minute of play forced Aviemore FC's goalkeeper Darius McLucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Will Guthrie kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Lewis Kerr made a great header on Aviemore FC's corner, it was just that Wick's Harold McIldowie managed to reach the ball for a save. Darius McLucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Cruickshanks in the 95th minute of play. Aviemore FC's George McCaskill got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aviemore FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
